Savannah Navy League -Welcome from the President

Welcome to the Savannah Council of the Navy League of the United States — and thank you for taking a moment to learn who we are.

I’m Val Reynolds, and I’ve had the honor of serving as your Council President since January 2025. The Navy League is a nonprofit civilian organization dedicated to supporting our U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine — and right here in Savannah, we do that every single day.

This past June, at the 2026 National Convention in Norfolk, Virginia, our council was recognized among the top 11 of 174 Navy League councils worldwide. We are incredibly proud of that recognition — and even more excited about what it means for the future.

No military background is required to join us. If you care about the men and women who defend our nation’s waters, you belong here. Come to a meeting, say hello, and see what this community is all about.

Savannah has a deep maritime soul. There is no better place — and no better time — to be part of this mission. I would love to personally welcome you aboard.

Savannah Navy League - Who We Are

The Navy League of the United States (Savannah Navy League) is a non-profit, all volunteer, U. S. civilian organization. We are dedicated to supporting our local sea services: U. S. Navy, U. S. Marine Corps, U. S. Coast Guard, and U. S. Flag Merchant Marine. We are a 501c3 Georgia State Corporation financially dependent on member dues and donations, and donations from patriotic businesses.

Our support includes:

Educating / advocating the public and our congress on the importance of strong and effective naval services to ensure the
security and economic prosperity of our nation
Provide support to our active-duty Sea Service personnel and their families
Support youth programs like high school NJROTC and the Naval Sea Cadet Program
